Program Director Applicant must:
- Hold a current Oregon RN license;
- Have at least two years or RN nursing experience that includes at least one year of direct care; and
- Have evidence of completion of a course on teaching adults, or one year of experience teaching adults:
- As faculty in a nursing education program;
- In a staff development role; or
- As a nurse administrator as defined in OAR 851-006-0140(7) "Nurse Administrator" for the purposes of these rules, means a registered nurse who is
responsible and accountable for the nursing educational department, division or program regardless of the official title assigned by any specific institution.
Supervision of nursing assistant education must be done by:
- A program director who has at least one year of nursing experience in the provision of long-term care facility services; or
- All primary instructors must have at least one year of nursing experience in the provision of long-term care facility services.
